Quenton DeCosey To Compete at Portsmouth Invitational

PHILADELPHIA - Â Senior guard Quenton DeCosey has accepted an invitation to play at the prestigious Portsmouth Invitational, held at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Virginia from April 13-16.
Now in its 64th year of existence, the P.I.T invites 64 of the best college basketball seniors from across the nation to participate in a four-day, 12-game tournament in front of representatives from every NBA team.
DeCosey, who led Temple in scoring (15.9 ppg) and steals (41), finished his career with 1,513 career points to rank 16th on the Owls' all-time list. He also ranked second on the team in rebounding (6.0 rpg) and assists (2.6 apg) while being the only player to start all 33 games for the 21-12 American Athletic Conference regular season champions. Â Â
A First Team All-American Athletic Conference honoree, DeCosey, who scored a game-high 26 points in Temple's 72-70 overtime loss to Iowa in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, also grabbed 519 rebounds, dished 251 assists, connected on 166 three-pointers and made 108 steals in his stellar career.
DeCosey will compete on the Sales System, Ltd. team at the event. Â The team's first game is Wednesday at 7 pm. Complete schedule and results are available here.Â
