Shizz Alston, Jr. Named to the American Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore guard Shizz Alston. Jr. has been named to the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll announced today by the league office.
The Philadelphia native matched his career high with a second straight 25 point game in an 81-74 loss at #20 Cincinnati on Jan. 18. Â In the team's lone game, Alston shot 9-of-15 from the field, 5-of-10 from three-point range and 2-of-2 from the line. Â He also dished with six assists and made a career-high five steals.
In Temple's seven conference games, Alston is the leading scorer with 16.1 ppg. Overall, he is second in The American in assist/turnover ratio (3.3, 15th in NCAA Division I) and ranks second in steals per game (1.9) while ranking fifth in assists (4.3) and 11th in scoring
(13.9).
The Owls (10-10, 1-6 AAC) return to action Wednesday, Jan. 25 when they host Memphis (15-5, 5-2) at 6 p.m. (CBSSN / 1210 AM WPHT).Â
