Men's Soccer Welcomes Conference Opponent Cincinnati on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's soccer will look for its second conference win as the Owls (5-6-1, 1-2) host Cincinnati (5-5-1, 0-3-0) on Saturday Oct. 14. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start at the Temple Sports Complex.
Scouting the Owls
> On Oct. 7, Temple took a 2-1 one loss against Memphis. Senior Divin Fula Luzolo scored the squad's only goal of the match.
> Redshirt senior Mark Grasela was named Philadelphia Soccer Six Player of the week on Oct. 9. The defender scored a pair of goals on Oct. 3 as the Owls put away Drexel, 4-0.
> Freshman Alan Camacho Soto, reigning Soccer Six and American Athletic Conference Player and Rookie of the Week was named Philadelphia Soccer Six Rookie of the Week, also for his efforts against the Dragons. The freshman scored within the first 12 seconds of the match after capitalizing on a Drexel turnover.
> Sophomore Thibault Candia is the Owls' leading scorer with five goals so far in 2017. Camacho Soto follows with four. Grasela and senior Joonas Jokinen have scored three and two, respectively.
> The Owls lead the conference in goals with 17, shots with 172, and assists with 11.

> The Bearcats have scored 16 goals so far this season. Five of those goals came from David Sanz who also leads the squad in assists, shots, and points.
> Other goal contributors for Cincinnati are Sean Clarke (3), Darryn Commisiong (3), Austin Smythe (3), Soren Jenson (1), and Malik Suleman (1).
> Cincinnati is coming off a 1-0 loss to UConn on Oct. 7.
