Quinton Rose Earns Fourth Conference Rookie of the Week Honor

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Temple freshman Quinton Rose has been named the American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for a fourth time this season. Rose had previously earned the honor twice in November as well as for the first week in January.
The 6-8 guard averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals in a 1-1 week for the Owls. Rose came off the bench in the team's loss to #25 SMU (Feb. 9) and contributed 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 25 minutes. In making his first collegiate start at Memphis, the Rochester, N.Y. native led the Cherry and White with 18 points, making four of five three-pointers, while pulling down six rebounds and dishing three assists.
For the year, Rose is averaging 10 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.
The Owls are back in action at East Carolina on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. (ESPNews/1210 AM WPHT).
