Shizz Alston, Jr. Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - After the second week of the season, Temple men's basketball senior guard Shizz Alston, Jr. has earned his second American Athletic Conference honor. Alston has now been named to the Weekly Honor Roll for week two after being named co-Player of the Week for week one.
Alston, who averaged 21.5 points per game and 5.0 assists per game in a 2-0 week, became the 53rd Owl in program history to reach the 1000-point plateau in Temple's win over Georgia on Nov. 13. He shot 15-of-32 from the field for the week including 7-of-15 from three-point range, and made 6-of-6 at the line. He also averaged 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. Alston led the Owls in scoring in both wins, tallying 25 vs. Georgia (tying with Quinton Rose) and 18 vs. Loyola Maryland.
