Women's Basketball Takes on #16/14 DePaul on Monday in Chicago

PHILADELPHIA --Â The Temple women's basketball team will play its second-straight nationally-ranked team, as the Owls head to Chicago on Monday to play at #16/14 DePaul. The match-up will take place at 11:00 a.m. as part of the Blue Demons' school trip day.
THE OWLS
> After starting the season 2-0, Temple has lost four-straight games, falling in road games against Ole Miss, Marist, Radford, and #22/24 Miami.
> Sophomore Mia Davis leads Temple n both ends of the floor, averaging 19.2 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
> Graduate student Alliya Butts is second on the team in scoring, with 15.2 points per game, while leading the Owls with averages of 3.8 assists and 3.0 steals per outing.
> Sophomore Desiree Oliver (6.0 ppg) and freshman Marissa Mackins (5.4 ppg) also pace the Temple offense.
> Sophomore Emani Mayo (5.2 ppg) and junior Shannen Atkinson (4.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg) round out the season box score.
> As a team, the Owls are shooting 36.6% from the field and 26.0% from long range.
LAST TIME OUT: #24/22 Miami 73, Temple 61
> Temple hung tough with #24/22 Miami, but the hot-shooting Hurricanes got the win, 73-61, in the final game of the Miami Thanksgiving Classic.
> Miami shot 47% from the field, and from three, burying nine from long-range to quash any potential Temple surges.
> Temple out-rebounded Miami, but the Canes shot over 50% in the second half to seal the win.
> Alliya Butts had another solid stat line, finishing with 18 points, five rebounds (tying a career high), five assists, and three steals. She earned All-Tournament honors for her play in the two games.
> Mia Davis rang up her third double-double of the season, finishing with 19 points and 11 rebounds, both team highs.
