Shizz Alston, Jr. Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA -Â Temple men's basketball senior guard Shizz Alston, Jr. has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll. Â It is his second AAC Honor Roll citation and third weekly honor. Alston was named co-Player of the Week for week one.
Alston scored 15 points and dished six assists in each Temple road win last week, a 79-77 victory over Missouri and a 79-70 defeat of St. Joe's. Â The Owls' point guard committed just one turnover in the two contests. Â
For the season he is tied for the team lead in scoring with a 17.1 average while leading the Owls in assists (5.8 apg.) and free throw percentage (26-28, .929).
Temple, 7-1, 2-0 Big 5, next plays at #21/21 Villanova on Wednesday (8:30 pm/FS1/1210 AM WPHT).Â
