Quinton Rose Named Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Big 5 honored sophomore guard Quinton Rose of Temple as the Big 5 Men's Player of the Week on Feb. 12, after two strong performances in a pair of wins for the Owls.
Rose averaged 21.5 points, six rebounds and two steals per game in a 2-0 week. He led Temple in scoring in both contests, shooting 50 percent from the field on a 16-for-32 clip. In a win over ECU on Feb. 7, Rose scored a game-high 23 points, grabbed six boards and dished out three assists.
In a win at USF on Feb. 10, Rose scored 20 points with another six rebounds. He also had four steals on the defensive end. Temple has now won five straight American Athletic Conference games. For his efforts. Rose was also named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll.
