Shizz Alston, Jr. Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll for a Second Time

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - For a second time in 2017-18, Temple junior guard Shizz Alston, Jr. has been named to the American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll. The Owls are coming off a 2-0 week that included an overtime upset of #16/16 Wichita State at home on Feb. 1, and a road win at Tulane on Feb. 4.
With 15 points and 10 assists at Tulane, Alston became the first Owl with double-figure assists since Dec. 2014, leading Temple to its third straight win. The double-double was the first of his career, while his 10 assists were a career high.
Earlier in the week, Alston had 12 points in Temple's victory over #16/16 Wichita State, including the game-tying basket near the end of regulation.
