Josh Brown to Play Professionally in Croatia

9.8.18 | Men's Basketball

PHILADELPHIA - Former Temple men's basketball guard Josh Brown will take his talents to Europe as he signed a professional contract to play with Croatia's KK ALKAR in the Premijer Liga league.

Brown, a two-year starting point guard for the Owls, set a school record for games played with 139 total games (71 starts) over his five-year career (2013-18).  He finished his career with 927 points, 474 rebounds, 389 assists and 132 steals.  He placed ninth on Temple's all-time list in career assists and his 2.26 assist-to-turnover ratio ranks seventh on the Owls' career list.

Coming off a 2015-16 season where he led the American Athletic Conference and ranked 10th nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.50), the Newark, N.J. native suffered an Achilles injury in the off-season. He was able to play in only five games before having to red shirt the season.

A two-year team co-captain, Brown made three game-winning shots in his career, the last coming on Jan 10 in a 66-64 win at SMU to snap the Mustangs 33-game home court win streak.
