Quinton Rose Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA -Temple University junior guard Quinton Rose was named to the American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Honor Roll for the week ending January 27. It is Rose's first time on the AAC Honor Roll this season and third appearance of his career.

The Rochester, N.Y. native averaged 21 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in helping the Owls to a 1-1 week. He also shot 50 percent from field and 54 percent from 3-point range in the two games. In an 85-76 win over Memphis (Jan. 24), Rose scored a season-high 26 points, hitting 9-of-17 from the field and five-of-nine from long range, to lead TU to victory. He then tallied 16 points in a 72-68 loss to Cincinnati (Jan. 27).

For the season, Rose ranks second on the team in scoring (17.1 ppg.) and assists (51) while leading the team in steals (47). The Owls (15-5, 5-2 AAC) travel to #13/13 Houston for a nationally-televised game Thursday night (7 pm, ESPN2/1210 AM WPHT).
