PHILADELPHIA -- The streaking Temple women's basketball team hits the road for back-to-back games, beginning with a Wednesday clash at SMU on the American Digital Network. Action tips off at 8:00 p.m. EST.

THE OWLS
> Temple is 9-15 overall (5-6 AAC) including 5-3 at home and 3-12 on the road.
> The Owls have won five of their last six games, with the only loss coming at #5 UConn.
> Sophomore Mia Davis leads Temple on both ends of the floor, averaging a 19.3 points to go along with 9.1 rebounds per game.
> Graduate student Alliya Butts is second on the team in scoring, with 15.7 points per game, while leading the Owls with averages of 4.6 assists and 2.0 steals per outing.
> Freshman Marissa Mackins averages 7.7 points per game, while sophomore Emani Mayo chips in with 5.2 points per game.
> Post players, junior Shantay Taylor (4.8 ppg, 5.6 rpg) and freshman Alexa Williamson (5.0 ppg, 3.6 rpg) also aid the offense.
> As a team, Temple is shooting 38.5% from the field and 30.2% from long range.

LAST TIME OUT: Temple 78, Cincinnati 70
> A 12-0 early fourth quarter run powered Temple to a 78-70 win over visiting Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon at McGonigle Hall. 
> The win avenged an earlier 72-52 loss to the Bearcats for Temple, just 29 days prior.
> The Owls led by as many as 15 points in the second quarter before Cincinnati battled back to go ahead by four late in the third.
> Temple rebounded to lead by three after three quarters of play, before the fourth quarter surge provided the final spark the Owls needed.
> Four players finished in double figures for the Owls led by Alliya Butts' 23 points, 11 of which came in the fourth quarter.
> Mia Davis and Shantay Taylor each racked up double-doubles, with Davis tallying 17 points and 13 boards, while Taylor added 12 points and 11 boards with three blocks.
> Marissa Mackins finished with 12 points, while Lena Niang added eight.

> SMU enters Wednesday's game with an 8-17 overall record and a 2-10 mark in conference play.

> SMU fell to Wichita State, 53-42, on the road on Sunday. 
> The Shockers built a 37-18 advantage at the break and despite a 24-16 SMU second half advantage, the lead was too great to overcome.
> SMU outrebounded Wichita State (45-25) and won out in second chance points (7-2), but racked up 29 total turnovers.
> Kayla White led SMU with 14 points, while Makenzie Ellis added six points and six rebounds.
> Alicia Froling pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

TEMPLE VS. SMU
> Temple owns the all-time series against SMU, 6-3.
> The teams split the season series last year with both teams winning on their home court.

LAST TIME THEY MET: SMU 60, Temple 56 (1/31/18)
> Temple led for over 30 minutes of play, but let a fourth quarter lead slip away, as the Owls fell 60-56 on the road at SMU.

> For SMU, McKenzie Adams tallied 16 points with seven rebounds to lead the Mustangs.
