WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y.— Temple men's tennis (2-2) defeated Buffalo (1-1) 4-3 at the Miller Tennis Center. The match went down to the wire, as it was decided by the final singles match.
Notes
> Temple handed Buffalo its first loss of the season, as the Bulls opened up their 2019 slate with a win over nationally-recognized Harvard.
> The doubles point was pivotal, as Temple and Buffalo split the singles contests.
> The Owls won the doubles point with victories from the pairs of Alberto Caceres Casas/Mark Wallner and Uladzimir Dorash/Paolo Cucalon.
> Buffalo took the first point with a win at third singles to even the score, but a 6-2, 6-2 win by Cucalon at fifth singles put the Owls ahead 2-1.
> The Bulls won at sixth singles, but Wallner came out on top 6-4, 6-3 at fourth singles to pull the Owls in front again, 3-2.
