Shizz Alston, Jr. Earns Third Big 5 Player of the Week Honor and Fourth AAC Weekly Honor Roll Mention

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - For a third time this season, Temple senior guard Shizz Alston, Jr. has been named the Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week. Alston also earned American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll mention for a fourth time, and has previously been named the AAC Player of the Week or co-Player of the Week three times.
This past week, Alston scored a game-high 24 points and hit four three-pointers while also dishing seven assists in a win over Tulsa to avenge an earlier loss by the Owls this season. He added five rebounds and a steal to help head coach Fran Dunphy to his ninth 20-win season in 13 years at Temple.
The Owls are back on the court Tuesday, Feb. 26 in a 9 p.m. (ET) game at Memphis (ESPNU / 1210 AM WPHT).
