Servidio Breaks All-Around Record in Gymnastics’ Win over Bridgeport and Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Temple women's gymnastics (14-14, 3-1 ECAC) closed out the regular season with a bang, as the team notched a first-place finish and sophomore Monica Servidio broke the program's all-around record. The Owls took first on vault, beam and floor en route to their victory over Bridgeport (194.825) and Brown (194.075).
Bars
> Temple started off the competition on bars, scoring a 48.5.
> Junior Daisy Todd and freshman Ariana Castrence were strong for the Owls, both earning a 9.7.
> Sophomores Tori Edwards and Servidio each posted a 9.725, tying for the team-high in the event.
Beam
> The Owls scored a 48.325 on their second rotation of the afternoon.
> Castrence and sophomore Delaney Garin put on solid performances, each scoring a 9.65.
> Servidio anchored the lineup with a stellar 9.825 to earn second in the event.
Floor
> Temple was spectacular on floor, posting its second-highest score of the season with a 49.225.
> Sophomore Erica Fuchs started off for the Owls will an impressive 9.8.
> Junior Jaylene Everett and Castrence continued the momentum, each earning a 9.825.
> Servidio's superb routine garnered a career-best 9.875 and senior India Anderson tied her career-best with a dazzling 9.9 to tie for first in the event.
Vault
> The Owls earned a season-best 49.025 in their final event of the competition.
> Senior Morgan Fridey opened up for the squad, tying her career-best with a 9.7 and freshman Jacqueline Terpak notched a career-best 9.725.
> Servidio wrapped up her record-breaking all-around performance with a 9.8 and junior Jazmyn Estrella scored a strong 9.75.
> Everett and Castrence rounded out the Owls' lineup with outstanding performances, each scoring a 9.875. Everett tied her career-best and Castrence set a new career mark, both tying for second place in the event.
All-Around
> Castrence and Servidio competed in the all-around for the Owls. Castrence took third place with a 39.05, the second-highest mark of her career. Servidio set a massive personal record, smashing her previous career-best of 39.05. She earned a 39.225 to break the program's all-around record and take second in the event.

> "Monica was lights out for us today," said head coach Josh Nilson. "Breaking the all-around record was well-deserved and I couldn't be more proud of her."
> "The team fought hard today," said Nilson. "We came from behind at the half for a great conference win. The judging was tough, but there wasn't a point in the meet where the team morale was lost or even faltered. This team fought hard and deserved that win. They earned it. This was a great team effort heading into ECAC championships next weekend!"
