Gymnastics Hosts Centenary and William & Mary on Sunday for Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA— Temple women's gymnastics will close out its home slate on Sunday, March 10 as it hosts Centenary and William & Mary for Senior Day. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m. in McGonigle Hall.
The Owls
>The Owls are led by head coach Josh Nilson, who is in his first season at the helm of the Cherry and White.
> Last time out, Temple (10-14, 1-1 ECAC) hosted Maryland, SCSU and West Chester for Alumni Night on Friday, March 8. The Owls ended the night with a bang, tying the floor program record and posting its second-best score of the season. Temple scored a 194.85 to take second place. Maryland took first with a 195.975, West Chester was third with a 191.425 and SCSU finished fourth with a 191.375
> The squad was spectacular on floor Friday night, tying the program record with a 49.3. Sophomore Monica Servidio posted a huge 9.775 to wrap up her strong all-around performance. Three Owls posted a 9.85 on the event: freshman Ariana Castrence and sophomores Erica Fuchs and Tori Edwards. Fuchs and Castrence both earned career-bests and Edwards tied her season-best in the event. Junior Jaylene Everett and senior India Anderson both put on dazzling routines, each earning a 9.875. This was a season-best for Everett and the second-highest score of the season for Anderson. They tied with Maryland's Sabriyya Rouse for first place in the event.
> Servidio earned ECAC Coaches Choice weekly honors for her standout performance in the March 2 tri meet against No. 23 Ohio State and No. 24 West Virginia. The sophomore had a significant impact on the Owls' lineup with her trademark consistency and high-level execution on all four events. She posted a 39.025 in the all-around competition with a 9.725 on vault, career-best 9.825 on bars, 9.75 on beam and 9.725 on floor. This was Servidio's second ECAC weekly honor of the season, as she was named Gymnast of the Week on Feb. 5.
Scouting Centenary
> Centenary is led by head coach Jackie Fain, who is in her eighth season at the helm of the program.
> Last time out, Centenary competed against Rutgers, Bridgeport and Towson on Friday, March 8. The Ladies finished fourth with a 192.000. The team posted a 47.275 on vault, 47.975 on bars, 48.325 on beam and 48.425 on floor.
> The all-time series between Temple and Centenary is tied, 2-2. The teams last met in 2016 when the Owls defeated the Ladies, 189.575-177.900.
Scouting William & Mary
> William & Mary is led by Mary Lewis, who is in her 25th season as head coach of the Tribe.
> The team last competed on Saturday, March 2 against UNC. The Tribe fell to the Tar Heels, 195.125-192.625. William & Mary scored a 48.725 on vault, 48.425 on bars, 47.425 on beam and 48.05 on floor.
> William & Mary holds the advantage in the all-time series against Temple, 33-18. Last time the teams met in 2018, the Tribe defeated the Owls 194.575-192.675.
