Golf Takes Part in Princeton Invitational this Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. – Temple Golf will take part in the 33rd Annual Princeton Invitational this weekend. The 13-team tournament, which is being held at the 6,415-yard, par-71 Springdale Golf Club, will feature 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes Sunday. The Owls tee-off from hole 10 at 8:05 am. Saturday.

- Senior Trey Wren and redshirt senior John Barone continue to lead the way for the Owls. Wren tops the squad with an even 72 stroke average. Barone is right behind with a 72.54 average.
- Junior Erik Reisner and senior Gary McCabe are the only other Owls to play all 24 rounds this season. Reisner has a stroke average 74.58 stroke average while McCabe carries a 75.41 average.
- Freshman Conor McGrath will be the Owls' fifth man this tournament. McGrath has compiled a 75.44 stroke average over 16 rounds.
- Senior Sam Soeth will play as an individual. Soeth has a 76.85 average.
- Yale won the 2018 tournament by three strokes headlines the field. They are one of seven Ivy League teams competing (only one not is Dartmouth).
- Besides Temple, the rest of the field includes Georgetown, Loyola (Md.), Rider, Saint Joseph's and Seton Hall.
