Tournament Guide: Ironwood Collegiate Classic

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Coming off a team title at the John MacDonald Temple Invitational, the Temple men's golf team hits the road for its first road competition of the season at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic. The 54-hole event will feature a 16-team field, beginning on Monday, September 28.

Last Time Out

Led by junior Travis Robertson and sophomore Nicholas Pisarski, the Temple University men's golf team earned a come-from-behind team championship in its first event of the season, the John MacDonald Temple Invitational, on Tuesday.

Robertson and Pisarski tied for medalist honors through 54 holes, with Pisarski putting together back-to-back rounds of two-under par 68. The dynamic duo tied with Drexel's Harry Cohen for top honors at one-over par 211 for the tournament.

The team title is the first for the Owls since winning the Cornell/Temple Fall Invite at The 1912 Club in 2022.

Tied At The Top

Three players tied for the top score after 54 holes of the John MacDonald Temple Invitational, including a pair of Owls. Junior Travis Robertson and sophomore Nicholas Pisarski shot one-over par 211, and tied for second after Drexel's Harry Cohen earned the victory after a one-hole playoff.

Last Year's Event

The Owls played at last year's Ironwood Collegiate Classic, tying for 10th place as a team. William Jun shot one-under par 71 over the final 18 holes and finished at even-par for the tournament.
