PHILADELPHIA - Three former Temple men's basketball standouts helped Team Brotherly Love advance to the 2019 TBT Championship Week.
Ramone Moore, who starred for Temple from 2008-12, hit the game-winning shot in the Elam Ending stage of play to lift his team to an 84-72 win over Boeheim's Army in the Syracuse Region Sunday. Moore, a starter on Team Brotherly Love, scored 15 points and grabbed five rebounds in the victory. Two other Owls, Semaj Inge (2005-09) and Wayne Marshall (2004-06), are reserves on the team.
Team Brotherly Love will now face off in the quarterfinals against Team Hines on Friday, Aug. 2 at 9:30 pm ET on ESPN2. If they win, they'll advance to the semifinals on Sunday, Aug. 4, and play at 2 pm ET on ESPN. The $2 million, winner-take-all championship game will be Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 9 pm ET on ESPN.
