Davis Earns Big 5 Player of the Week, Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – Junior forward Mia Davis was named the Big 5 Player of the Week and earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after leading the Owls to a 2-0 week with two double-double performances.Â
Davis extended her double-double streak to seven after recording double digit points and rebounds in both of Temple's wins last week. At Houston, the junior tallied 16 points and pulled down a career-best 18 rebounds to lead all players on the boards. Davis then followed up with a near triple-double in the win over SMU as she registered 23 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. She finished the week shooting 57.1% from the floor while averaging 19.5 points and 14.5 rebounds per game. Â
Next up, the Owls host USF on Thursday, Jan. 16 for a 7 p.m. tip in McGonigle Hall.Â
