Men's Basketball Hosts Tulane Sunday

PHILADELPHIA - It is with heavy hearts that Temple takes the court Sunday afternoon (12 pm/ESPN+/1210 AM WPHT) to host Tulane in its Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers game.
Friday the program lost its legendary former coach, Hall of Famer John Chaney, who passed away at the age of 89. Â Playing through emotions, the Owls will take on an opponent it defeated in New Orleans two weeks ago.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Redshirt freshman Damian Dunn continues to lead Temple and ranks 10th in the AAC in scoring (14.0 ppg). He also leads league and ranks ninth nationally in free throws made (6.0 pg).
> Sophomore Khalif Battle, who has made a huge impact since coming off an injury, is second in scoring (13.0 ppg) and tops the Owls in rebounding (7.7 rpg).
> Junior Jake Forrester (9.4 ppg, 6.4 rpg) tops TU and ranks third in the AAC in FG% (.596).
> Senior De'Vondre Perry, who scored a season high 17 in the Tulsa win, averages 8.4 ppg while freshman Jeremiah Williams (8.3 ppg) tops the Owls and is third in the AAC in assists (4.5 apg).
> Senior J.P. Moorman II (7.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg) rounds out the starters while graduate reserve Brendan Barry (7.9 ppg) leads the AAC in three-point percentage (19-39, .487).
SCOUTING TULANE
> Tulane is on a three-game skid, falling to #6/6 Houston (83-60) after seeing two games postponed due to positive COVID-19 cases in the program.
> The Green Wave has won just one conference game, defeating East Carolina, 60-56, in New Orleans to open the New Year.
> The team has two players averaging in double figures, with Jaylen Forbes (14.8 ppg) and Jordan Walker (12.5 ppg) leading the team.
