Men’s Tennis Advance Four to ITA Super Regionals

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Temple men's tennis traveled to Annapolis, Md., to compete in the ITA Atlantic Regional Tournament hosted by the United States Naval Academy from Oct. 14-17. The Owls were represented by Thibault Frumholz, Marin Delmas, Leo Raquin and Louis Gorregues, all who had outstanding performances. 
 
The pairings of Frumholz and Raquin and Delmas and Gorregues advanced to the doubles semifinals while Raquin also had a stellar singles performance, advancing to the singles quarterfinals. All four men qualified for ITA Super Regionals based on their performance while Delmas also qualified for singles play based on his season performance previous to the ITA Regional competition.

"We really had a great showing at Navy this weekend," Steve Mauro said. "Not only did we compete against some of the top teams in our region, but we also did extremely well in both doubles and singles play. Four of our players will be moving on to represent us at Super Regionals and were excited to keep it going."
 
Up Next
Up next, four Owls will travel to Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va. from Oct. 14-17 to represent the Cherry and White at ITA Super Regionals. The pairings of Frumholz and Raquin and Delmas and Gorregues will compete in doubles play, while Raquin and Delmas will also compete in singles.
