Men's Basketball Heads South for Shriners Children's Charleston Classic

CHARLESTON - Temple Men's Basketball travels south to take part in the Shriners Children's Charleston Classic. The Owls open with Clemson (3-0), a team they have met three previous times in the event, on Thursday afternoon (4/4:30 pm/ESPN2/1210 AM WPHT). Temple is 1-2 in meetings with the Tigers at this tournament with the Owls lone win coming in the championship game of the 2017 Classic. Â
SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Khalif Battle leads the Owls and ranks second in the AAC in scoring at 24 ppg. He is third in the league in FG% (.548), tied for first in threes per game (4.0) and fourth with teammate Zach Hicks in 3PT% (.500).
> Damian Dunn (13.0 ppg) is the only other Owls averaging double figures and is tied for the AAC lead in FT% (9-9, 1.000).
