Track and Field Travels to Princeton on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple women's track and field team will travel to Princeton Sunday to compete in the Joe Handelman Invitational for their second meet of the indoor season.
About the Joe Handelman Invitational
> Nicole Castor, Sophia Gulotti, and Allyson Metzger get the action started for the Owls when the three compete in the long jump at 11:00 am.
> Chelby Elam looks to record another first-place finish in the 60m event after racing to a top spot in last weekend's event.
> Deyona Banks competes in the 600m event towards the middle of the invitational at 2:10 pm.
> The Owls have a host of competitors racing in the 300m event as nine members line up for the Cherry & White.
> Olayinka Ilelaboye, Chidumga Nkulume, Kwanda Knight, and Christal Pommells finish up the day for the Owls at 4:10 pm in the 4x400m.

> The Owls opened the indoor season last weekend when the team traveled to Lehigh.
> Tannekee Strachan placed first in the long jump and triple jump events with a mark of 5.57m and 11.71m, respectively.
> Amira Green placed second in the high jump with a mark of 1.65m.
> Chelby Elam and Christal Pommells finished first and third in the 60m event, racing to times of 7.67 and 7.82, respectively.
> Marissa White and Mary Olayinka Ilelaboye raced to first and second place finishes in the 400m event, clocking times of 57.62 and 58.18, respectively.
> In the 200m event, four Owls made up the top five spots. Pommells took the top spot on the podium with a time of 25.54 while Ilelaboye, Elam, and Jewel Ofotan took the 3-5 positions.
