Women’s Basketball Heads to Tulsa for Wednesday Afternoon Matchup

PHILADELPHIA — The Temple women's basketball team heads to Tulsa on Wednesday, Feb. 17 for a 3 p.m. tip-off at the Reynolds Center. The American Athletic Conference matchup will be aired on ESPN+. 

THE GAME
> The Wednesday matchup between Tulsa and Temple was originally scheduled for a 7 p.m. EST start, but due to inclement weather in the Tulsa area, the game has been moved up to 3 p.m. EST.

THE OWLS
> Temple arrives in Tulsa with a record of 8-8 (8-5 AAC). The Owls are currently ranked fifth in the American Athletic Conference. 
> Senior Mia Davis leads the Owls with 18.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. 
> Rookie Jasha Clinton  is Temple's second-leading scorer with 13.1 points per game. The guard adds 4.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.8 steals per game for the Owls. Clinton leads Temple in three-pointers (25) and steals (29).
> Junior Alexa Williamson is the third Owl averaging double-digits this season with 11.3 per game. The Houston, Pa. native boasts a team-best field goal percentage of 48.9% and adds 6.4 rebounds per game for Temple. 
> Sophomore Asonah Alexander leads Temple with 5.1 assists per outing. The 5-10 guard is the third-leading rebounder for the Owls, pulling down 6.3 boards per night. 

OWLS' LAST TIME OUT: Temple 58, ECU 57
> The Owls edged ECU 58-57 on Saturday, Feb. 13 at McGonigle Hall. 
> Temple had a sluggish first half, keeping it close in the first quarter before ECU ran away with the game. 
> The game saw 15 lead changes and seven ties, with the Pirates holding the largest lead of the day (12) in the third quarter.
> Both teams played it tight in the fourth quarter, with neither leading by more than three points. 
> The Owls were able to seal the win on a jumper from Davis in the final second of the game.
> Davis led both teams with 20 points, while Clinton's 13 rounded out Temple's double digit scorers. Davis was also a perfect 9-for-9 at the charity stripe.

> Maya Mayberry leads the Golden Hurricane in scoring with 13.6 points per outing. She leads Tulsa in three points made (31) as she shoots 38.3% from beyond the arc.

LAST TIME THEY MET: Temple 69, Tulsa 52
> The Owls topped the Golden Hurricane 69-52 on Dec. 23 at McGonigle Hall. 
> Temple's offense didn't click until the second half, but the Owls stayed within a few points of Tulsa through the first two quarters.
> The Owls created separation on the third, outscoring the Hurricane 17-10, taking a five point edge into the fourth.
