Women’s Basketball Heads to UCF for Saturday Noon Game

PHILADELPHIA — The Temple women's basketball team heads to Orlando, Fla. to take on UCF on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 12 p.m. The American Athletic Conference matchup will be aired on ESPN+.
THE OWLS
> Temple arrives in Orlando with a record of 9-9 (9-6 AAC). The Owls currently sit at fifth in the American Athletic Conference standings.
> Senior Mia Davis leads the Owls with 18.7 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
> Davis is just three foul shots away from becoming Temple's all-time leader in made free throws. The current record is 402, set by Feyonda Fitzgerald (2013-2017).
> Rookie Jasha Clinton is Temple's second-leading scorer with 13.4 points per game. The guard adds 3.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game for the Owls. Clinton leads Temple in three-pointers (31) and steals (30).
> Junior Alexa Williamson is the third Owl averaging double-digits this season with 11.3 per game. The Houston, Pa. native boasts a team-best field goal percentage of 48.3% and adds 6.5 rebounds per game for Temple. Williamson leads the Owls and ranks second in the AAC with 1.5 blocks per game.
> Sophomore Asonah Alexander leads Temple with 4.9 assists per outing. The 5-10 guard is the third-leading rebounder for the Owls, pulling down 5.8 boards per night.
OWLS' LAST TIME OUT: #13 USF 56, Temple 47
> The Owls battled #13 USF until the very end before ultimately falling 56-47 Wednesday afternoon at McGonigle Hall.
> Temple came out of the gate with some scrappy defense, holding USF below 25% shooting for the first three quarters.
> The Bulls caught fire in the final quarter, reeling off 21 points on 50% (5-10) shooting to propel them to victory.
> The Owls were out-rebounded on both ends of the floor, with USF picking up 17 offensive rebounds over the course of the game.
> Davis and Clinton led the way for the Owls, scoring 23 and 20 points, respectively. Clinton knocked down four three-pointers to lead all players beyond the arc.

> The Knights lead the conference in both three-point percentage (33.6) and scoring defense (50.4).
> Courtajia Sanders leads the Knights in scoring with 11.2 points per night while adding 5.0 rebounds.
