Battle Earns Weekly Honors for Second Straight Week

PHILADELPHIA – For the second straight week Temple University sophomore guard Khalif Battle has earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference and Philadelphia Big 5 Honor Rolls.
Battle had game highs of 22 points, six rebounds and four assists in helping Temple snap its six-game skid with 65-47 road win over USF on Feb. 24. The Butler transfer shot nine-of-15 from field and three-of-seven from three in the Owls' only game of the week.
The Edison, N.J. native leads the team in scoring (14.7 ppg) and ranks second in rebounding (6.0 rpg) and three-pointers made (21) despite missing the first five games due to a hamstring injury. Over last three games as a starter, he has averaged 25.0 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 3.3 apg.
