Brown, Gee Lead Women’s Track in Day One at UCF

ORLANDO – Aisha Brown and Emma Gee both recorded top-three finishes as the Temple track and field team competed in five events on the first day of the Black and Gold Invitational Friday afternoon.
Meet Highlights
> Brown opened the day with a third-place finish in the high jump as she tied her indoor season-best mark of 1.70m.
> Tannekee Strachan recorded a career-best 5.60m in the long jump for a sixth-place finish. Rookie Nicole Castor also registered a career-best in the same event with her mark of 4.90m.
> Castor led Temple in the javelin with her fifth-place mark of 30.12m, followed by Sophia Gulloti in sixth with 26.48m.
> Marissa White was the first in the Cherry and White to cross the finish line in the 200m as she placed 13th overall.
> In her debut for the Owls, Gee crossed the finish line at 4:35.37 in the 1500m for a first-place finish.
