Fourth Quarter Goal Lifts Field Hockey Past Villanova

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple field hockey team snapped its four-game losing streak Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 win over Villanova on the road. Senior Taylor Alba scored the lone goal, the second of her career. With the win, the Owls improve to 2-4 (1-4 BIG EAST) while the Wildcats fall to 0-5 (0-5 BIG EAST).
Recapping the Game
> Both teams played evenly through the first half, with Villanova taking all three shots heading into the break.
> Temple had a chance to get on the board in the third quarter on a goal from Taylor Alba, but a goal was negated by a dangerous play call and the score remained knotted at 0-0 going into the final quarter.
> Alba scored the goal with an assist from Cassie Romanczuk, drawing the Wildcat keeper out of the cage to score in an open net.
