From the Coach
- "I think the boys did a really good job at packing up early and working together throughout. They remained calm early which allowed them to move forward late while staying controlled. It's always good to take a win at a home meet", said head coach James Snyder.
- "We're really impressed with how the freshmen stepped up racing with the older guys. Belmont is a hard course, so it allows us to get some solid work in at the start of the season, since it'll be the hardest course we race all season."
Owls Dominate
- Temple had five freshmen leading the pack in the dominate win.
- Christian Fitch and Jeppe Risvig tied for the official top spot with a time of 27:02.8, while Graham Thomas and Tyler Fauvelle tied for the second-best time just a hair behind at 27:02.9.
- Freshmen Liem Chot finished with a time of 27:11.1 while Josh Christianson and Erik Kain picked up the eight and nine slots with times of 27:34.2 and 27:44.5, respectively.
- Senior captain, Sean Egan rounded out the top 10 with a time of 27:44.5.
Race Notes
- Today's meet marks the seventh time the Owls hosted the Temple Invitational. It also marks the third straight Temple Invitational that both Temple squads left the meet victorious.
- Temple scored 15 points to finish in first place with Rider placing second, Jefferson third, and Chestnut Hill fourth.
- Three Owls made their collegiate debut in the race, Chot, Thomas, and Zack Marmol.
Up Next
- The Owls will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 17, when they travel to Bronx, N.Y. to compete in the Iona Meet of Champions.
