Calderaro Takes Silver at Temple Open

PHILADELPHIA - Epeeist Margherita Calderaro took home silver at the Temple Open Saturday, with her second-place finish being the highest for the Owls. It was Temple's first meet of the season and for the Salmon era, with seven fencers finishing in the top-15 and four finishing in the top-8.

> Calderaro earned her best career finish at the Temple Open after placing second, while Naomi Ross finished sixth.
> Sarah Park earned a 19th place finish while Sara Proctor and Anne-Mai Melles tied for 24th and Cindy Long placed 44th.
> Elizabeth Novoseltseva's sixth place finish led the foil squad, while Anna Novoseltseva placed eighth.
> Anastasia Yankovskiy earned a 10th placed finish to round out the foil top-15 finishers and Gretl Merges earned a 29th place finish.
> In her Cherry and White debut, Renee Oymann finished in 41st place and Constança Dimas tied for 47th.
> Emma Pincus tied for ninth to lead the saberists and Diana Tiburcio's 12th place finish rounded out Temple's Top-15 finishers.
