Damian Dunn Named Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Redshirt sophomore Damian Dunn was named the Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week and earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for his play in Temple's opening week of men's basketball season.
Dunn scored game highs in each of Temple's games,tallying 29 points and tying a school record by making all 18 of his free throw attempts in a 76-73 loss to Wagner in the Owls opener on Nov. 11. He followed that with 22 points, including the go-ahead free throws with 1.1 seconds to play, to lift Temple to a 68-64 win over #16 Villanova for the Owls first win over their city-rivals since 2012.Â
For the week he averaged 25.5 ppg., 2.0 rpg., 1.5 apg., 1.0 spg., 1.0 bpg., shot 13-23 (56.5%) from the field, 3-8 (37.5%) from three and 22-22 (100%) from the line.
