Green, White, and Metzger Set New PRs at Youree Spence-Garcia Meet

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Temple women's track and field team opened the indoor portion of their season Saturday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.
Amira Green claimed victory with a first place finish in the high jump as she tied her indoor personal best with a mark of 1.65 meters.
Marissa White came in third place in the 500m dash behind Leah Anderson of Central Park Techical College and Nora Huagen of St. John's. She ran a 1:13.95 to set a new indoor personal best.
Allyson Metzger set her personal best as she came in second in the long jump, with a mark of 5.39m.
In the 60-meter dash, Chelby Elam placed third running a 7.65, just .02 seconds short of tying her personal best for indoor.
Christal Pommells finished in second place in the 200 meter with a time of 25.74.

The Owls will take six weeks away from the action. Temple will next compete at the Nittany Lion Challenge at Penn State University on January 14th.
