Men’s Basketball Travels to South Florida for Monday Meeting with the Bulls

TAMPA - Temple Men's Basketball (13-7, 6-3 American) takes to the road for four of its next five games starting Monday (7 p.m./ESPN+/1210 AM WPHT) against South Florida (14-6, 1-7).
The Owls have been one of the AAC's top road teams, winning four of six on their opponents' court, including three of four in conference play. Only one AAC team, SMU, has more road wins (5) than Temple while #6 Houston is the only conference member with a better road record (4-1).
Temple has also won six of its last seven games while USF has dropped its last four games and eight of nine.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple has won six of its last seven games with its lone defeat coming at SMU.
> Damian Dunn leads the Owls in scoring (15.7 ppg/6th AAC) and free throw percentage (93-110, .845/3rd AAC) while ranking second in assists (40) and third in steals (19).

> Zach Hicks (6.5 ppg), who set a school record with 10 threes vs. Delaware State, leads the Owls with 34 three-pointers. He has been red-hot of late from deep, making 28 of his treys over the last nine games.

> South Florida enters the game on a four-game losing streak and have dropped eight of nine since Christmas.
> The Bulls are a tough defensive team, ranking fourth in the AAC (64.4 ppg), one spot ahead of the Owls (65.5).
> USF is led by Caleb Murphy and Javon Greene. Both guards Murphy leads the team in scoring 12.1 ppg and assists (63) while Greene tops the team in three-pointers (29) and the AAC in steals (1.84 pg) while averaging 9.7 ppg.
> Jamir Chaplin and Russel Tchewa have been mainstays in the starting five with Chaplin third on the team in scoring (8.9 ppg) and third in rebounding (4.6 rpg) while Tchewa tops the squad in rebounding (5.3 rpg) and is fourth in scoring (5.9 ppg).
> South Florida has struggled to score this season, averaging a league-low (57.2 ppg).
