Rowing Brings Home 5 Medals at the Kerr Cup Regatta

PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's rowing brought home four medals Saturday afternoon after competing on the Schuylkill River in Drexel's Kerr Cup Regatta. The Owls celebrated senior day at the Temple's boathouse where the Owls' seniors and 5th years were honored for their continued leadership, hard work, and commitment to the program.
Racing Action
> Temple raced in six events including A.M heats and P.M finals. All Temple boats finished first in their heats and all boats competed in the grand finals.
>3V8+ went straight to the grand final where they were .2 seconds away from the bronze medal. The Owls grabbed fourth place with a time of 8:15.6.
>2V4+ "a" finished 1st in their morning heat with a time of 9:22.1. The Owls took home the bronze medal in the grand final with a time of 8:54.0
>2V4+ "b" places first in their morning heat clocking in at 9:55.2.
>V4+ places first in their heat with a time of 8:14.2. The Owls grabbed the bronze medal in the grand finals with a time of 8:45.5.
>2V8+ took first in their morning heat with a time of 7:26.0. The Owls grabbed the silver medal in the grand final with a time of 7:28.9. The Cheery and White were 6 seconds shy off of Drexel University.
>V8+ finished first in the morning heat with a time of 7:14.8. The Owls took home the silver medal in the grand final with a time of 7:02.4.

"We had a strong performance as a team and got some great feedback that you can only get in a race situation", said head coach Rebecca Grzybowski. "We are clear on where we need to focus our efforts as we head into the second half of the season and everyone is feeling hungry to create more speed together in the next few weeks."
