Nicholson, Strachan Prepare to Compete at NCAA East Regional

PHILADELPHIA - With the conclusion of the outdoor track and field season from a team perspective, the season continues on for juniors Laura Nicholson and Tannekee Strachan. Nicholson and Strachan travel to Bloomington, Ind. this week for the NCAA East Regional from May 26-28.
About the NCAA East Regional
Nicholson, who qualified for the 1,500m run with a time of 4:20.94 back in April, takes the starting line at 2:30pm in the first heat. A total of 24 runners advance to Saturday's quarterfinals at 5:15pm. From there, 12 runners advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Strachan qualified for the triple jump with a personal-best jump of 13.09m in the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships. Strachan competes in the third flight of the triple jump on Saturday at 6:00pm where the top 12 will advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
