PHILADELPHIA - Kur Jongkuch, a 6-9, 220-pound forward who started the last four seasons at Northern Colorado, has signed a men's basketball aid agreement to attend Temple University, announced head coach Aaron McKie. Jongkuch will be a graduate transfer and have one season of eligibility remaining.
"We are excited to welcome Kur Jongkuch to the Temple Basketball family," said McKie. "Kur is a developing player who improved his play during the course of a great career at Northern Colorado. He is also a great person as well and will fit right into our culture at Temple."
Jongkuch played in 119 games during his four-year collegiate career, starting 107 times. A native of Juba, South Sudan, he averaged 8.9 points and 8.6 rebounds per game this past season for Northern Colorado, which finished 22-16 and lost in the Big Sky Conference title game and the College Basketball Invitational semifinals.
The Bears' leading rebounder the last two seasons, he ranked second in the Big Sky Conference as a junior and third his senior season. As a junior, he averaged a career-best 10.1 points while pulling down 8.0 rebounds per contest.Â
