Kur Jongkuch to Tryout for Team Canada at 2022 GLOBL JAM

PHILADELPHIA - Kur Jongkuch, a 6-9, 220-pound forward who transferred to Temple from Northern Colorado, has been invited to tryout for Team Canada at the 2022 GLOBL JAM tournament which is being held at Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto from July 5-10.  

GLOBL JAM is a first-of-its-kind international basketball showcase in Canada featuring women's and men's teams from around the world competing in an Under-23 event.  The event will shine the international spotlight on the game's rising stars and feature teams from the USA, Canada, Italy and Brazil competing in an Under-23 tournament.

Jongkuch, who holds dual citizenship (Canada and South Sudan), played in 119 games during his four-year career at Northern Colorado, starting 107 times. A native of Juba, South Sudan, he averaged 8.9 points and 8.6 rebounds per game this past season for Northern Colorado, which finished 22-16 and lost in the Big Sky Conference title game and the College Basketball Invitational semifinals.

Tryouts for Team Canada are being held June 22-24.
