EASTON, Pa. - The Temple field hockey team defeated Lafayette 1-0 in its season opener, the fourth-straight season opening win for the team. Olivia Vaccari scored the game-winner, the first of her career.
Recapping the Game
> Both teams played even in the first quarter, with the teams firing a combined three shots.
> Temple settled in after the first 15 minutes, with Vaccari scoring 36 seconds into the second quarter on a penalty corner with an assist from Nienke Oerlemans.
