Men’s Soccer Continues Homestand with Saint Peter’s

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's soccer team (1-2-2, 0-0-0 AAC) continues its longest homestand of the season with a visit from the Saint Peter's Peacocks. It is Ted Lasso Night at the Temple Sports Complex, the first 150 students will receive a free t-shirt. Attendance is free for all fans.
LAST TIME OUT
> Temple fell to Lafayette 3-1 on Friday.
> The Owls scored once, with midfielder Fabian Grant scoring his first career regular-season goal.
> Sean Karani and Tessho Kobayashi assisted Grant. For Karani, it was his second assist on two straight goals. For Kobayashi, it was his second career point after passing for an assist last season against Memphis.
> Freshmen Lleyton Imparato, Sawyer Koza, and Micah Ramirez all made their first career starts.
THE OWL POST
> Mike Eijgendaal has three assists this season. He is tied for third in the AAC in the category and is tied for fifth in points (7).
> Draven Barnett has played every minute of the season for the Cherry and White. He is tied for tenth nationally in minutes
> The Owls have dealt with injuries to several key players, including starting goalkeeper Eoin Gawronski.
SCOUTING SAINT PETER'S
> In 2021, the Peacocks earned an 8-9-1 record. They finished second place in the MAAC.
> Saint Peter's is 1-2-1 this season. The Peacocks fell to Stony Brook and Bucknell but won their last outing against St. Francis.
> Reiss Skeen and Tom Climpson are players to watch for Saint Peter's. Skeen was named Peacocks of the Month for August, while Climpson earned Second Team All-MAAC honors last season and was named to the Preseason All-Conference Team.
> Julian Richens is in his 12th season leading the Saint Peter's program. Under his leadership, the Peacocks have made the postseason in three straight years for the first time in program history.

> Despite being only roughly 80 miles apart, this is only the third all-time meeting between Temple and Saint Peter's. The Owls have won both matches (2-0).
> The two last met in 2013. Temple won that matchup 1-0 in overtime.
