Battle Named AAC, Big 5 Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's basketball guard Khalif Battle has been named to both the AAC and Big 5 Player of the Week, as announced Monday. This is the fifth time this season Battle has been honored.

Battle averaged 25.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in two overtime wins for the Owls. The redshirt-sophomore was most productive in the extra frames, scoring seven of the Owls nine points in the overtime period in the team's win over South Florida and followed that with nine of Temple's 15 points in extra time at UCF.  For the week he shot, 16-of-32 from the field, 6-of-14 from three and 13-of-14 from the line.

Temple will return to the court on Sunday, hosting No. 3 Houston at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
