White Named Big 5 Player of the Week, AAC Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA - Junior guard Jahlil White of the Temple men's basketball team has been named the Big 5 Player of the Week for the period from November 6-12, 2023. He was also selected to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll.Â
White posted a pair of double doubles as the Owls got off to their first 2-0 start since 2019. The junior averaged 18.0 points and 12.0 rebounds while shooting 54.7 percent (13-for-24) from the floor and going 9-for-11 from the free throw line. Against UMES on Monday, he posted 15 points and 14 rebounds, swatting two shots as well. On Friday against Navy, he delivered 21 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. Through the first week of the season, he is one of 12 players nationally with two double-doubles and it is the first time since February, 2020 that a Temple player has recorded consecutive double-doubles.
Temple is 2-0 for the first time since 2019 and plays its first Big 5 game of the year on Tuesday, November 14 at Drexel.Â
