Track & Field Reveals Indoor Schedule
11.2.23 | Women's Track and Field
PHILADELPHIA – The Temple Track & Field team has announced its 2023-24 indoor schedule, announced head coach Elvis Forde. The Owls will compete in eight regular season meets, and the American Athletic Conference championships hosted in Birmingham, Alabama. Five of Temple's eight meets will be in New York City.
The Cherry & White open the indoor campaign with a trip to New York for the Youree Spence-Garcia Meet s invite on December 2nd. Shortly after, Temple will head to nearby Lehigh for the Angry Birds Invitational on December 8th.
After over a month off for winter break, Temple will resume competition at the Nittany Lions Challenge at Penn State (Jan. 13). The Owls will then compete in three straight meets in the Big Apple. First is the Villanova Invitational (Jan. 20) being competed in Staten Island, followed by the Dr. Sanders Invitational hosted by Columbia (Jan. 26), with the Rutgers Invitational hosted in The Bronx completing the circuit on February 3rd.
TU will round out the regular season by splitting the squad, with some heading to Boston to compete in the David Valentine invitational, and others heading to New York for the FastTrack Invite. Both will be on the weekend of February 9th.
After an off week, TU begins its postseason with the AAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala. From February 23-24.
A good showing at the conference championships could land Temple's athletes back in Boston for the NCAA Track & Field on Mar 8-9.
