Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season at River City Relays

PHILADELPHIA – Temple University's women's track and field team opens the 2026 outdoor season at River City Relays in Jacksonville, Fla. hosted by the University of North Florida. Temple will have 17 athletes compete across 10 events during the two-day meet.

Previewing the Owls
- Competing in the field events are Kamryn Ohm (pole vault), Shalisha Robertson (long jump and triple jump), Deja Scott (triple jump), Reagan Schwartz (long jump and triple jump), Inara Shell (long jump), and Reece Sullivan (pole vault).
- Running in the 100m dash is Briyel Brown, Kenya Merritt, Janae Pettaway, Scott, and Lila Ziegler.
- The 200m race will be run by Brown, Grace Hickman, Mariah Jameson, Merritt, Pettaway, and Ziegler.
- Laila Cottom, Hickman, Jameson, Chloe Smith, and Dicia Watkins will all compete in the 400m dash.
- Smith and Watkins will also represent the Cherry & White in the 400m hurdles.
- Rian Johnson and Rose Tuomisto are the only Temple athletes set to compete in the 800m and the 1500m races.
- Temple will have two teams competing in the final event, the 4x400m relay; Brown, Cottom, Hickman, Jameson, Johnson, Merritt, Smith, and Watkins.
