IRVING, Texas - For a second consecutive week, Zion Stanford has been named the AAC Freshman of the Week and Jordan Riley was named to the AAC honor roll as announced on Monday afternoon. Stanford was also selected to the Big 5 weekly honor roll.

Stanford averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds per game and shot 75.0 percent from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Owls. In the NABC Brooklyn Showcase on Sunday, he scored 16 points with seven rebounds, two blocks and connected on 6-of-9 shots from the floor. Riley averaged 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, connecting on 16-of-20 free throws last week. He led Temple with 16 points and eight rebounds in a win against Bloomsburg on Wednesday and followed that with 19 points, 13 in the second half, in a win against Albany in the NABC Brooklyn Showcase. He also has been in double figures in five straight, netting 16.2 a contest in the span.
