Men’s Tennis Wins Front End of Back-to-Back, Preparing for Sunday Match

Philadelphia – The Temple men's tennis team (6-2) defeated the Norfolk St. Spartans (1-4) by a final score of 7-0 on Saturday, Feb. 25 to kick off their back-to-back weekend schedule with a victory. This marks the sixth-straight win for the Owls after dropping the first two matches of the spring season.

NOTES:

The Owls gained a default point from the third position of doubles play as well as the sixth position of singles play.
Temple debuted a doubles lineup that hasn't been shown previously this spring putting the pair of Leo Raquin and Thibault Frumholz in the first position earning their first victory in that spot this season. They now have a 5-2 record as a duo this spring.
Two-time All-MEAC selection, Federico Rebecchini represented Norfolk St. in the first position of both doubles and singles play. Rebecchini and partner Boris Lunin were defeated in doubles 6-2, before Marin Delmas met Rebecchini in singles, winning 6-2, 6-2.
Alberto Blumenschein performed in singles for only the second time this spring, picking up his second victory. He defeated Roosevelt Brown III 6-0, 6-0 from the fifth position.
