Nicholson Medals as Track & Field Rounds Out AAC Indoor Meet

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Temple track & field team finished out the second and final day at the American Athletic Conference Indoor meet in Birmingham, Alabama. The team placed 11th out of 11 teams competing. Distance runner Laura Nicholson had another fantastic performance, earning the bronze medal in the mile, her top 3 performance gives her All-Conference status in the mile. This follows her earning All-Conference during cross country season.

Results
- Nicholson earned third place with a time of 4:53.20 in the mile. Elvira Bredin put up a personal best in the mile for a second straight day (4.58.26). Nicolson also placed eighth in the 800m final.
- Amira Green earned .25 points in the high jump, reaching a mark of 1.69 meters (5.54 feet). She tied for eighth place.
- Tannekee Strachan grabbed four points in the triple jump while earning fifth place with a distance of 12.61 meters (41.37 feet).
- Cat Shontz shattered her personal best by eight seconds in the 3000m run. She clocked a time of 10:12.44.
- Temple begins the outdoor season in late March.
