Track & Field Set to Open Outdoor Season at Raleigh Relays and Knight Invitational

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple track and field team returns to action this weekend with a pair of meets in the Raleigh Relays and the Knight Invitational. These meets will be the first of the outdoor season for the Cherry & White.

Previewing the Owls – Raleigh Relays
> Two Owls, All-Conference runner Laura Nicolson and freshman Elvira Bredin, will head to Raleigh to run in the 1500m at 4:25p.
> The two are also entered in the 800m for Saturday,

Previewing the Owls – Knight Invitational Friday
> On Friday, Temple will begin action with program record holder Allie Riches on the pole vault. At the same time, Allyson Metzger, Nicole Castor, and Tannekee Stratchan will compete in the long jump.
> Temple will be well represented in the 200m dash, with Marissa White, Chelby Elam, Chidumga Nkulume, Jewel Ofoton, Madison Trout, and Fiona Carter running.
> Michelle Frowijn rounds out the day, taking the 1500m in the distance group.

> Four Owls will jump in the High Jump on Saturday morning in Amira Green, Carston, Jaaliyah Evans, and Carter. Stratchan will be the lone Owl to compete in the Triple Jump.
> Elam, Lauren Greig, Ofoton, and Trout will compete in the 4x100m for Temple.
> Isatu Shirek and Carter will run in the 100m hurdles, while Kwanda Knight and Nkulume will compete in the 400m.
> Five athletes will represent Temple in the 100m dash. Elam, Troit, Greig, Ofoton, and Metzger will hit the track for the Cherry & White.
> Cat Shontz and Dominyka Petraskaite cover the distance for TU in the 3000m.
> The 4x400m team will round out the day. Knight, Nkulume, Shirek, and Trout make up for the team for Temple.
