ROAD TO THE NATIONALS
  • In the most recent Road to the National standings, the Owls improved two spots with help of new season-high standards on the vault (48.725) and floor (48.575). Going into this week, Temple jumped two spots from last week's ranking of 53rd to its current 51st placement. In its effort last weekend, the Cherry and White had a strong road dual meet victory at Yale as it scored a season-high 194.95.
Bars
  • Sarah Stallings has been a consistent performer for Temple throughout the first four meets of the season. The Raleigh, N.C. native has picked up three vault victories already this season. Stallings enters this weekend tied for sixth in the EAGL on the bars, and tied for ninth in the northeast region with a 9.850.  Sarah has cranked out at least a 9.800 on bars in each of her four meets this season, including last Sunday at Yale where she and Ashley Glynn earned a share of first place with 9.825 scores. With that share of first place on the bars, it becomes the third event victory and the first on the bars for Glynn to begin her first season in the Cherry and White colors.
  • As a team, the Owls are ranked fourth in the northeast region with a 48.638, just behind fellow EAGL mate, Pitt (48.929).
Beam
  • The Owls' Madison Dorunda, Julianna Roland, and Brooke Donabedian helped the Owls to a 48.875 on the bars last week at Yale. All three of the aforementioned gymnasts earned a piece of first place by tying for the top score of 9.825.

  • The beam team starting lineup has been held consistently by the same six gymnasts throughout the first four meets, but as of last Sunday, Ashley Glynn joined the parliament. The group has 15 scores of 9.7 or better this season, including eight 9.8s and a 9.9.  Accounting for the four meets thus far this season, Temple has earned at least a share of first place finishes on the beam from Donabedian, Dorunda, Julianna Roland, and Hannah Stallings.
Vault
  • Last week at Yale, Temple turned in a season-high 48.725.  Anna Hill made her first appearance of the season on the vault as she scored a 9.8 to earn the event victory, the first of her career.
