Women’s Tennis Sweeps Marist 7-0 In Friday Morning Match

CHERRY HILL, N.J. – The Temple women's tennis team (9-1) won their eighth-straight match against Marist (2-6) on Friday morning by a final score of 7-0. The match was held at the Cherry Hill Racquet Club and began at 10:30 a.m.
NOTES:
- Temple displayed their typical three pairs in doubles play behind Jamie Wei and Maiko Uchijima in the first position. All three duos won, awarding Temple the 1-0 advantage to start singles play.
- Freshman Thamara Frasser Kawaratani played in the top position of singles play for the Owls facing Marist captain Deana Giambo, battling to earn the point for her team. In her first season with Temple, Kawaratani is now 6-3 in singles play this spring.
- Temple's Veronika Kulhava finished her match in the third position before anyone else earning the first point of singles play. Jamie Wei and Thamara Frasser Kawaratani followed putting Temple up 4-0 at that point.
